British Heart Foundation

For 50 years, the British Heart Foundation has been the nation's heart charity. Our people and supporters work tirelessly on all fronts: research, prevention, care, support, campaigning, raising awareness and raising funds. Our mission is to play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.

We currently fund around 800 BHF Healthcare Practitioners. From heart failure nurses and other cardiac specialists, to technicians, counsellors, and rehabilitation nurses, we provide the full range of care and support that patients and their families need.

Our investment in innovative health initiatives is already saving lives. Over the next three years, we are investing £3million specifically to support the development of models of integrated care for the long term management of cardiovascular disease.
